As both a business and as individuals, Goodman Grant believes that we have a responsibility to help others less fortunate than us and we’re proud of our achievements – since 2013 we have raised thousands of pounds for a range of charities that support causes that are close to our hearts.
And we’re always looking for an excuse to slip into Lycra!
Our nominated charity for 2015 was Bridge2Aid who have a passion and determination to make a positive difference in East Africa through providing access to dental treatment and pain for communities. We raised over £2000 when a team of Goodman Grant staff embarked on the tricky coast to coast ride from St Bees to Robin Hood Bay.
The firm are also proud to support the Liverpool Woodlands Hospice.
John Grant has cycled in numerous international charity bike rides over the years, raising money for Norwood, an organisation that supports vulnerable children and their families, children with special educational needs and people with learning difficulties. In 2015 he cycled for a week through Death Valley National Park and in 2016 was off once again, this time polishing his pedals as he cycled through the jungles of Myanmar. In 2017 he undertook his fifteenth bike ride cycling through Israel. He keeps threatening to hang up his helmet....watch this space!
2016 saw the practice take part in the annual Liverpool Legal walk to raise money for the North West Legal Support Trust and the Leeds office bravely participated in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge!
During 2018 the firm undertook a walk in Snowdonia to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK and sweepstake money raised during the World Cup was shared between the Roy Castle Lung Foundation and the Stoke Association.
We wanted to help Bridge2Aid and deemed this a sufficiently painful challenge to enable us to earn sympathy donations and to provide us with a sense of euphoria.
