Ben works mainly in the Leeds Office and has been with the firm since joining as a paralegal in May 2013, qualifying as a solicitor in January 2017.
Ben is an employment solicitor who has advised both employers, associate dentists, contractors and employees since 2013. Since qualifying as a solicitor, he has headed up our employment department. Ben’s experience of handling dental transactions includes an active role in providing corporate support on acquisitions and disposals, business restructures, TUPE transfers and redundancy processes as well as advising on settlement agreements which gives him an advantage over other employment practitioners in that he fully understands this sector and the variety of business models which dental business owners adopt.
Ben also provides a non-transactional and non-contentious service to his clients such as drafting contracts of employment, service contracts, company handbooks and policies and procedures.
Whilst Ben predominantly advises professionals in the dental industry, he is able to offer employment advice to similar healthcare sectors and other businesses.
Ben also continues to split his practice areas and maintains his own workload of leading dental practice acquisitions and disposals.
Prior to qualifying, Ben was made head of the firm’s CQC Service department and has since passed on this role to Eugene Pena.
Away from the office, Ben can be found out walking, running, watching or playing sport and pretending to learn to cook.
